Effective Date: March 6, 2026
1. Scope of Agreement and Acceptance
This Privacy Policy (the "Policy") constitutes a legally binding agreement between the user ("User," "you," or "your") and ResumeCraft ("the Company," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing, registering for, or utilizing the ResumeCraft platform, including all associated services, APIs, and intellectual property (collectively, the "Services"), you hereby acknowledge that you have read, understood, and irrevocably consented to the data collection, retention, and dissemination practices described herein.
2. Proprietary Interest in Data and Storage
The User grants the Company a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, sublicensable license to store, host, and process all information provided to the Services, including but not limited to personally identifiable information (PII), employment history, academic records, and biometric data derived from uploaded documents (the "Data").
The Data shall be retained on the Company's proprietary or leased server infrastructure. The duration of this retention is at the sole and absolute discretion of the Company, subject only to prevailing statutory limitations.
3. Dissemination and Third-Party Disclosures
The Company reserves the right to monetize, share, or otherwise disseminate the Data to its third-party affiliates, marketing partners, academic institutions, and recruitment agencies (collectively, "Authorized Transferees"). Such disclosures are conducted for the purposes of service enhancement, targeted advertising, and market analytics.
Upon the transfer of Data to an Authorized Transferee, said Data becomes subject to the privacy protocols of the recipient. The User hereby waives any claim against the Company arising from the subsequent use or processing of the Data by any Authorized Transferee.
4. Procedures for Data Rectification and Deletion
Notwithstanding any statutory rights, the User acknowledges that the deletion of Data is not a self-executing right within the ResumeCraft interface. Should a User desire to move for the deletion or "forgetting" of their Data, a formal **Deletion Request** must be submitted via electronic mail to the Company’s designated Data Privacy Officer at support@resumecraft.co.
The Company shall review such requests within a reasonable timeframe. The Company reserves the right to deny or partially fulfill Deletion Requests where the retention of Data is required for compliance with legal obligations, the exercise of legal claims, or the preservation of archival records vital to the Company's operational integrity.
5. Indemnification and Limitation of Liability
The User agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Company from any liability, loss, or damage resulting from the User’s failure to maintain the confidentiality of their account credentials or from the provision of inaccurate or fraudulent Data. Under no circumstances shall the Company be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the storage or dissemination of Data.
6. Amendments
The Company maintains the unilateral right to amend, modify, or restate this Policy at any time. Continued use of the Services following such modifications constitutes the User’s implicit acceptance of the revised terms.
