Software Engineer

REALM is an early-stage security infrastructure company building the world's fastest full-text search and detection platform for Security Data Lakes. We are seeking a full-time Software Engineer - Product Infrastructure to join our engineering team on-site in the San Francisco Bay Area. In this role, you will build the core product features and infrastructure that allow the platform to operate effortlessly at scale. Your responsibilities will include developing scalable ingestion pipelines that pull logs from cloud providers and SaaS platforms, establishing outbound integrations that connect with customer workflows, and building the necessary tooling for users and AI agents to run investigations across massive volumes of security logs. The systems you build will handle hundreds of terabytes to petabytes of log data per day. You will work across a cutting-edge technology stack featuring Rust on the backend, Svelte and TypeScript on the frontend, AWS Lambda for burstable query compute, Amazon S3 for log storage, MySQL for metadata management, ECS for ingestion pipelines, and Pulumi for infrastructure-as-code. The ideal candidate will have 3 or more years of backend software engineering experience, proficiency in a compiled or systems language such as Rust, Go, or C++, and a solid grounding in databases and data pipelines.
