Software Engineer

We are seeking a full-time Software Engineer to join our team in New York, NY on a hybrid basis, working 4 days a week from our NYC office. In this full-stack role, you will own critical features end-to-end, from architectural decisions through to production releases, working directly alongside product, operations, and design teams. You will build reliable, performant workflows that automate administrative burdens for personal injury firms, including intake management, medical records processing, police reports, lien management, and demands. Your engineering efforts will directly determine the capacity of our operational teams to help clients in need. Additionally, you will ship AI-powered functionality using technologies like OpenAI APIs to turn complex legal workflows into intuitive software, while utilizing our core tech stack of Python, Django, React, and AWS. The ideal candidate will bring 3 or more years of experience building secure software in production, a track record of writing clean, testable code, and a passion for shaping the engineering culture of an early-stage, fast-growing startup. Finch offers a competitive salary ranging from $180,000 to $280,000, meaningful equity, 100% health insurance coverage, and daily team lunches and dinners.
