Software Engineer

We are seeking an exceptional Software Engineer to join our high-performing team in Menlo Park, CA on a full-time basis, with in-person attendance expected at least three days per week. In this role, you will build, test, and release product-facing and platform features with stringent correctness and scalability requirements. You will design and write software, test suites, and APIs using REST and messaging middleware, utilizing languages and frameworks such as Go and Python on a day-to-day basis. Responsibilities include writing optimized database queries, fixing complex scalability problems, and testing software systems for performance bottlenecks. You will work closely with trading partners to integrate with their systems to provide Robinhood customers access to markets across multiple asset classes, while collaborating with cross-functional operations, execution, risk, and data partners. Additionally, you will build operational-facing features related to clearing, settlement, corporate action processing, margin calculation, and compliance. The ideal candidate will bring a Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, with deep expertise in Golang, Python, distributed and highly concurrent systems, microservice architectures, and cloud computing platforms. Robinhood offers a performance-driven compensation package including a base salary of $161,637 to $195,000, performance bonuses, equity ownership, 401(k) matching, and 100% paid health insurance for employees.
