Software Engineer, C++

Figma is growing our team of passionate creatives and builders on a mission to make design accessible to all. We are looking for a full-time Software Engineer, C++ to join our team in New York, NY in a hybrid work arrangement. In this role, you will work on some of the most technically challenging and impactful parts of our product, developing high-performance client-side systems in C++/WebAssembly, extending multiplayer protocols for collaborative design, and building the communications layer between C++ and JavaScript. You will build core features and frontend infrastructure in a real-time, multiplayer system with a complex in-memory data model (SceneGraph) while optimizing performance and memory usage using TypeScript to deliver a fast, reliable UX in the browser. Collaborating closely with designers, product managers, and other engineers, you will map out solutions that serve millions of users around the world. The ideal candidate will have 4 or more years of professional software engineering experience shipping user-facing products, strong programming skills across our stack, and an understanding of web-based applications or real-time systems. Figma offers a competitive compensation package ranging from $153,000 to $376,000, along with equity, comprehensive health benefits, retirement matching, and generous paid time off.
