About the job
Blessed Sacrament Catholic Academy is seeking two dedicated, faith-filled, and collaborative educators to join our faculty for the 2026–2027 school year: Grade 4 Teacher and Grade 5 Teacher.
What You'll Do
Deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction using the Gradual Release of Responsibility model (I Do, We Do, You Do).
Differentiate instruction and use assessment data, including i-Ready, to drive student growth.
Foster a structured, nurturing, and faith-centered classroom rooted in Catholic values.
Maintain high expectations, strong classroom management, and positive relationships with students and families.
Grade 4 Teacher: Prepare students for the New York State ELA and Mathematics Assessments.
Collaborate with colleagues, instructional coaches, and administration to strengthen teaching and learning.
Participate actively in the faith life of the academy, professional development, school events, and extracurricular opportunities.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required (Master's degree preferred).
Practicing Catholic in good standing.
Eligible to work in the United States.
Ability to obtain or maintain required Diocese of Brooklyn background check clearance, VIRTUS certification, Code of Conduct acknowledgment, and current immunization records.
Salary & Benefits
Salary: Starting at $45,000, with compensation based on experience and qualifications.
